Man of God | Leader | Veteran
I live to serve God, my family, and my community. My mission is to equip men of all ages to become capable, strong, and disciplined to best serve their families and communities.
My Testimony
Early Life
I’m a Puerto Rican from the Bronx, raised in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, and PA). I come from a devout Christian family that instilled biblical values and raised me to have the courage to lead. Having been raised in the church, I saw the transformative power of God working in the lives of His people, and these experiences shook me. At an early age, I remember wanting nothing more than to have a relationship with Jesus.
As a teenager, I saw the church I loved fall apart because of greed and pride, and people I thought were my family acted as if I had never existed. This led me to question my faith and pushed me into a life of sex, drugs, violence, and resentment.
I’ve always believed in God, but I had completely turned my back on living according to His word.
Military
I was always one of those kids that wanted to serve in the military. The idea of being a “cool guy” kicking in doors and killing my nation’s enemies seemed enticing. So naturally, after graduating high school, I joined the military. I had this elaborate plan of what my life in the military was going to be, but God had other plans.
While I was in, I worked in Intel as a linguist and signals analyst. The work was interesting, but I wanted something more. After six years in intel, I put in my application for the job I actually wanted, only to find out I couldn’t do it because of some obscure medical rule. Without giving it a second thought, I made the decision to get out of the military. I didn’t want to stay in the military because it was the “safe and secure” option for my family. I was ready for the next challenge.
Life After the Military
The transition out of the military was difficult. I hated everything about corporate America, but I thought it was a game I HAD to play. I decided to pursue an MBA from a top 20 business school with the hopes of climbing the corporate ladder. I got a chance to work for some great companies, make a ton of money, and lead some fantastic people, but I couldn’t escape the fact that this life wasn’t for me.
It was around this time that I started a mentorship business called wayahead. My goal was to connect teens and young adults with professionals living the life they aspired to have. Building wayahead was extremely rewarding, but our focus was on appealing to corporate partners, which was the wrong move. I learned valuable lessons during this experience that I’m carrying into future endeavors.
Despite experiencing success in entrepreneurship, promotions, and accolades, I hated my life. Everything came to a head in 2020.
Like lots of people, I hit rock bottom in 2020. Lots of issues that I had repressed started coming back because none of the things I used to cope with were available. This was also a time when people like me who disagreed with the narrative, refused to wear masks, and refused the vaccine were ostracized. This led to severe clinical insomnia, anxiety, and suicidal depression.
After my life and family had almost been completely destroyed, God stepped in and restored me.
Ministry
I’ve always been called to ministry, but I spent most of my time running from my calling by chasing money— but part of growing older is also acquiring wisdom. I’ve been blessed with a talent for public speaking, leadership, and mentorship.
My mission is to use these God-given talents to raise up the next generation of leaders who will stand up for biblical truth.
A focus of mine is helping young people, through mentorship, navigate their careers and social issues through a God-fearing worldview.
I’ll also be graduating with a Master of Divinity degree from Regent University in 2024.
My Family
I got married at 18 to my beautiful wife, Kayla. We’ve been to hell and back, and our relationship is stronger for it. Together, we have three wonderful kids. My wife and I are raising our kids to be leaders who love God and speak the truth. Our kids are homeschooled, spend most of their time outside, and can hold a conversation for more than 5 minutes.
Sweet Aroma Farm
In 2022 we decided to buy a historic farm to do something good for our family and our community. Working the farm is a labor of love we all share, and every day brings new challenges and lessons. We hope to one day be a go-to farm in our community where people can buy quality products and find some peace
